Town Halls & Civic Buildings

Every borough built one, and no two are alike. Each entry gives the architect, the opening date, the designation and what the building is used for now — and says so plainly where a fact is not known. Many of these halls stand inside a designated area, so it is worth reading them alongside conservation areas, and most open their private rooms only for Heritage Open Days. For how these entries are researched and verified, see about Civic Heritage.
